Though only a child at the time, their music had a lasting impression on him and to this day is still one of his strongest influences. Frank has been in many bands over the years that have opened up for national acts such as Brownsville Station, The Outlaws, and Los Lobos. Frank brings
a wealth of different styles, genres and backgrounds to the Double Take
band where he gets to apply them all to the diverse and challenging repertoire
that the Double Take Band has become known for.
Jim Dill-- Bass & Vocals The newest member of the band to hold down the low down, Jim Dill has been playing bass since the tender age of 16. A good friend loaned him his bass, then had to fight tooth and nail to get it back! Always a fan of good, solid foundation, Jim cut his musical teeth with some of the great prog rock of the 70's and 80's. And his musical influences came from some of those bass greats like Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, Tony Levin and of course Buffalo's own Billy Sheehan, just to name a few. As
a music major at Buff State (back in the day) and jazz ensemble performer,
Jim has also played with a variety of local groups and also performed
in UB theater productions of The Who's "Tommy" and "Jesus
Christ Superstar" . |
